Instagram is one of the most successful social media platforms, being popular and fast growing with over millions of users around the world.
Instagram is all about sharing your photos and videos of your desire. And yes, it can also be on your list for cross-posting contents.
In this post, I’m going to tell you how you can create Instagram Business account and start your Instagram journey from today.
Let’s get started.
How to Create Instagram Business Account
Once you read what I have for you, you will find how easy it is for you to create an Instagram Business Account.
Download the App
Instagram being people’s favorite app, is available for all the popular mobile OS. Just go to your designated app store, search “Instagram” and click install and you are done with the first step.
Create an Account
Creating an account on Instagram requires an email or phone number. Pretty basic requirements, isn’t it? But since we are creating a business account, I advise you to use a separate designated business email.
Just don’t get carried away and connect the account with your Facebook account or else you will end up creating an account based on your Facebook account or page.
Complete profile requirements and selecting a username
In this step, you will create a username and a password for your account. Keep in mind to select your username as close as to the name of your business profile. Also know this, Instagram will also automatically generate a username. If you wish to keep it, you can. Or perhaps change it then or later.
Set Up Your Business Account
Now that you’ve created an account, it’s time to convert that account into a professional account also known as a business account.
To switch the account into business account, first, go to settings.
Now click on Account and you’ll find “Switch to professional account”.
Click on “Switch to Professional Account” and you’re done converting your account into a business account.
After you’ve switched your account to a business account or professional account, you can see the insights of your account.
Uploading your Business profile picture
How about a selfie? Of course not. The profile picture should be describing your business profile. It most probably should be something that defines your business or a logo. You can also upload a professionally clicked picture of yours if you’re the face of the business.
Importing images from Facebook and Twitter is also available. But importing photos from Facebook can also import the personal data stored in your Facebook account.
Once the step above is done, you will be asked to save your info and follow some accounts. Remember, it is not mandatory to follow any account shown on the screen.
Complete your Profile
Now that your Business Account has been created, click on the profile button on the bottom right corner and then tap on “Edit Your Profile”. Here they will ask more about your information.
Then enter your information, such as your bio and contacts. Remember you cannot paste links on the media post but here in your personal info section, you can put your clickable URL.
In the bio, try writing a short note that defines your business accurately. But don’t worry if you have typed something complicated or unwanted, you can change your bio anytime. So, take your time to think about your brief description.
Start sharing post
Well, the wait is over. Now that you have completed the steps above, it’s time for you to post media files about your associations. You will eventually find out that people won’t follow you if your account is deserted one. So, create or find some photos that are worth sharing. And also know this, it’s better to have quality over quantity.
Use hashtag along with captions
For every post, remember to write a brief caption alongside some appropriate hashtags. Hashtags alone can be the reason for bringing you viewers. A specific tag will bring you visitors who are looking for the same interest. But also remember to not spam your single post with an unnecessary amount of tags, followers don’t want that.
Once you have done the steps above, the next part is to start following other Instagram accounts in order to make them follow you back.
Instagram will help you find people close to you by using either your contacts or your Facebook friends and followers. You can choose either of those and once you have pass clients and connections stored, then their accounts will be visible to you. You can choose to follow them and also other accounts by engaging on their postpositively to get them to follow you back.
Have a definite brand story
Since you have decided to build a business Instagram account, you surely are aware of the purpose of your account and it is important for you to keep it on message. Once you have understood the working of business Instagram you can use it to establish positive public perception with photos and engaging with your followers.
Share the account outside Instagram
Remember to let viewers of your website know that you are available on Instagram by adding an Instagram icon on the contact section of the website.
